Parent Participation

We believe that parents are their child's first teacher. We welcome and encourage parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, to participate in their child's preschool classroom.Volunteering in the preschool classroom is a wonderful way for parents to become accustomed to the school district, get to know some of the teachers, and establish a routine of active participation in their child’s learning from early on in their education.

In order to volunteer in the preschool classroom, you must have:

  • Clear TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • Proof of immunizations for Pertussis & Measles
  • Proof of Flu shot, or signed waiver if you choose to decline
  • Copy of valid driver's license or other ID
  • Completed KCUSD Volunteer Application form

Bring these items to your child's teacher or the preschool clerk at your site before you can begin volunteering in the classroom.

**If you do not have copies of your immunization records documenting the measles and pertussis immunizations, you may see your doctor to request a blood test to find out if you have been vaccinated or not. You may show the results of this test as proof of vaccination, or get re-immunized.

If you do not have a doctor already, the Adventist Health Jefferson School Based Health Center has wonderful doctors and nurses that can provide immunizations and physicals.

It is located at 1150 E. Washington Reedley CA.
