Preschools

We have 6 full day preschool sites. Full Day preschool locations include:

Jefferson, Great Western, & McCord - open full year, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

AL Conner - open part year, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

Washington - open part year, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

Dunlap - open part year, 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

**Part year programs follow the typical school calendar and are closed during winter break, spring break, and summer breaks.

Parents who are working or in school full time, seeking work, or seeking permanent housing, are given priority when spaces are limited.

We have 4 part day preschool sites that offer a 3 hour program. Classes are offered both in the morning and the afternoon. 

Part day preschool locations include:

Jefferson - 8:00-11:00 a.m.

Silas Bartsch & Lincoln - 8:00-11:00 a.m. & 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Early Learning Center - 8:15-11:15 am. & 12:30-3:30 p.m.

The Early Learning Center contains a VROP child development program. This is a program in which KCUSD high school students work in the preschool classroom as part of their early childhood development coursework. A preschool teacher teaches the preschool class, while a VROP child development instructor teaches the high school students working within the classroom.
